The President of the World Rowing Federation Jean-Christophe Roland officially opened 2018 World Rowing Championships for Men and Women. The official ceremony of the Ancient Theater was attended by representatives of all 62 participating countries.
The official opening ceremony was also attended by the Deputy Mayor of Sports and Youth Activities Georgi Tityukov, the Chairman of the Bulgarian Rowing Federation Ivan Popov and the Minister of Sport Krasen Kralev. The ceremony passed with a lot of music and a wish for success to all participants.
The competitions start tomorrow at the Rowing Canal in Plovdiv. More than 800 rowers from 62 countries will take part in the championships.
